Stars of the Future

Join us on Tuesday 23 August at 1.10pm in First Presbyterian Church Armagh for the first lunchtime concert of the Festival, where we’ll be shining a spotlight on two rising stars of the music scene!

David Kennedy, the winner of the 2022 Charles Wood Junior Song Competition, will sing sublime songs by Franz Schubert, Charles Wood and Lili Boulanger, accompanied by Ruth McGinley. Jack Myles, the 2022 Northern Ireland Young Musician of the Year, performs trombone works including Launy Grøndahl’s dazzling Trombone Concerto, accompanied by Gary Myles.
