Training Day for School Teachers and Choir Directors

We are pleased to announce the return of our popular Training Day for School Teachers and Choir Directors on Monday 21st August, as part of the 30th Charles Wood Festival and Summer School. The day-long workshop will take place in St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Synod Hall in Armagh, beginning at 10.30am.

The course will be led by Dr Aisling Kenny and Judith Gannon, two of Ireland’s leading choir trainers. Aisling and Judith will provide insights and practical tips, covering:

  • Healthy vocal technique for teachers and young singers

  • Effective warm-ups for your choir

  • Building confidence in choral conducting technique

  • Selecting appropriate repertoire for children

This is a unique opportunity to improve your choir training skills and conducting confidence in a friendly, supportive environment. Lunch will be provided.
