Junior Finalist: Samantha Brady

The second finalist in the Junior Class of this year’s Song Competition is Samantha Brady.

Samantha is a soprano in the final year of the BMus Vocal Performance degree at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She is currently studying with Owen Gilhooly-Miles and Andrew Synnott. Samantha has a wide range of music experience, from singing in choirs from a young age to chamber ensembles and opera productions. She has also won competitions such as the Count John McCormack Vocal Recital at Feis Ceoil Dublin 2021.

She recently made her debut in Germany with the Berlin Opera Academy, performing the role of Sandmännchen in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. Samantha has also taken part in productions such as Francesa Caccini’s La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola di Alcina with the RIAM, Purcell’s King Arthur with the RIAM and Beethoven’s Fidelio with Lyric Opera Ireland, as well as singing as a soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria, Faure’s Requiem and Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb.

Samantha is really looking forward to performing in Chamber Fest Dublin this year at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in April.
