Scholarships available

Calling young local singers!

The Charles Wood Festival is committed to supporting and nurturing the next generation of local singers. This year there are four scholarship places available for singers from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Successful recipients will join the Charles Wood Singers free of charge and develop the skills needed to become a professional singer in a friendly, supportive environment.

This includes the opportunity to sing on BBC Radio 3, take part in our popular Come and Sing event with John Rutter, and work with Bob Chilcott on a newly commissioned choral piece.

In addition, the William Lauder Scholar will benefit from a free singing lesson with renowned vocal coach Paul Farrington.
